Hampstead
Whole property renovation following a house fire. Rear extension with garden landscaping, and alterations to the front elevation.
The original pool roof has been rebuilt as a clean, flat roof with a striking eave detail — clad in standing seam zinc and Douglas fir for a contemporary finish. This decorative eave structure seamlessly connects to a new rear extension, bringing cohesion to the design. The pool now opens fully to the garden with sliding corner-less doors that retract in two directions, blurring the boundary between inside and out.
To the front elevation we introduced new bay windows at the first and second floors to bring more light and visual depth to the façade. The pitched roof over the garage and porch was replaced with a clean, modern flat roof, finished with a standing seam zinc fascia. Vertical Douglas fir cladding adds a contemporary detail.
